In today’s post, we are going to speak about the modern hippie fashion style and how to wear it this year. This look is one of the expressive ones. It’s luxurious but effortless, easy to wear but spirited. It does look modern but still has a retro twist. If you are looking for outfits made of rich fabrics, colored in earthy shades and complemented with ethnic print motifs, then you should try on modern hippie outfits. It can easily transit to preppy, chic or grunge look, in other words saying, everything depends on how you gonna wear it. That’s why I am here to share with you simple tips and ideas that will help you create individual modern hippie fashion looks.
Of course, everything depends on how you feel yourself. You can make modern hippie style look grunge, rock or bohemian inspired. The first thing that popped into my mind is the dress. There are lots of beautiful designs to choose from. You can find lovely pieces completed with tiers, layered fabrics, paisley decorations, tribal prints, etc. Personally, I do love plain and simple dresses, like the knee-length with long sleeves ones in dark colors. You can complete your frock with creative combat boots, suede boots or clog sandals. Anyway, I recommend keeping your dress solid, neutral-colored and plain. The great alternative to flowy dresses is a kimono and jumpsuit. If you want to keep it modern looking, then I recommend choosing modern accessories that will compliment your pretty outfit. My next favorite is a denim jacket in exaggerated fit. Of course, those of you who want to spice up things, then you should try on leather, suede, wool, fur, sheepskin outerwear pieces embellished with various details and embroidery, like beads, patterned trim, etc. By the way, keep an eye on army jackets. They will easily make you look hippie-inspired. All you need is to DIY and place some patches on them, like slogans or emblems. As I have already mentioned before, there is a chance to add a grunge touch to your hippie look. You can try on an oversized top, big sweater, exaggerated blouse or jacket that can be completed with hippie-inspired accessories like fringed or tassels. Don’t forget to use prints in your everyday looks. I am in love with florals, tartan, paisley, and Aztec.
